Our Christian Values
Upton Snodsbury is a Church of England School which actively promotes Christian values. Our Christian values-based approach encourages commitment, effort and high standards in all that we do and enables adults and children to discuss, explore and reflect upon those values we live by, which make us thoughtful, caring and responsible citizens.
We explore different Christian values in every aspect of school life so that we can support everyone in school to develop a better understanding of each value's meaning and how it will impact their lives and the lives of others around them. We aim for every child and adult to show love and understanding to everyone they meet regardless of their faith, religion, culture or background because love is a fundamental characteristic of who God is.
Our Core Christian Values are:
Respect | Responsibility | Friendship |
'Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourself' - Romans 12:10 | 'Arise, as it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it' - Ezra 10:4 | 'Do to others as you would have them do to you' - Luke 6:31 |
|
||
Forgiveness | Trust | Thankfulness |
'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone amongst your people; but love your neighbour as yourself' - Leviticus 19:18 | 'When I am afraid, I put my trust in you' - Psalm 84:12 | 'I will give thanks in the greatest assembly; I will praise you among many people'- Psalm 35:18 |
